The Legend of Sparda.
(Sparda的传说。)

When I was young, my father would tell me stories about it.

Long ago, in ancient times, a demon rebelled against his own kind for the sake of the human race.
(在很久以前的远古时代，一名恶魔因自己的情感而反叛魔界，更为人类而战。)

With his sword, he shut the portal to the demonic realm and sealed the evil entities off from our human world.
(以他手中的剑，他成功封印了魔界之门，令他们再不能踏入人的国度。)

But since he was a demon himself, his power was also trapped in the other side.(但他也是一名恶魔，他的力量也因此被封印。)

I never believed it.
(我从不相信。)

I thought it was just a child's fairy tale.
(因我认为这只是一个神话故事。)

But I discovered that this so-called legend wasn't a myth at all.

Sparda existed.

Though the same blood of their father through to their veins, the two battled each other fiercely like arch enemies.

It seemed as if they derived some sort of twisted pleasure from this brotherly fighting.(就好像他们能从这兄弟之战中寻得快乐及满足似的。)

But in the end...
(但在最後...)

Only one was left standing.
(只剩一人还能站着。)

Mission 1 A Crazy Party
开场：

一阵电话声响起，刚洗过头的Dante从浴室中步出，以一贯的潇洒动作接听电话。

「Sorry, not open for business yet. 」(抱歉，本店尚未营业。)

说着把听筒抛回电话座。

「I haven't even picked a name for this joint and I'm already getting calls. 」(现在店子连名字也没有，居然会有客人打来。)

与此同时，一名光头男子开门走进店内。

Dante: 「You a customer too? Well, if you want to use the bathroom, help yourself. The toilet's in the back. 」
(你也是客人吗？还是来借洗手间？洗手间在後面。)

「Is your name Dante? Son of Sparda? 」(你是Dante吗? Sparda的儿子?)
光头男子问道。

Dante: 「Where did you hear that? 」(你从那听来的?)

「From your brother. 」(你兄长。) 红蓝色眼睛的光头男子冷冷的道，并注视着Dante颈上的项链。

「He sent this invitation for you. Please accept it. 」
(他托我来邀请你的，请你收下。)

此时光头男子把桌子弄翻，Dante迅即以灵巧的身手回避，但当他想举枪指向男子之际，该男子已经不知所踪了。

「Invitation huh? 」(邀请吗?)Dante一手接回被抛上半空的薄饼，正想把薄饼吃下，却突然有数只恶魔於身旁出现，并用镰刀狠狠的劈向他。但以Dante半魔之身来说，这在他眼中只不过是小伤，只见他拾起刚才咬过的薄饼，再走到点唱机前。

「This party's getting crazy! Let rock! 」(这派对越来越疯狂！来摇滚吧！)

说完便以帅气的动作杀掉三两只恶魔。

「The end? Don't bet on it! 」(完结了？最好别跟我打赌！)

结尾：

当经过Dante的一轮疯狂战斗後，正想去拿一块薄饼来吃时却被剩下的恶魔踏扁。Dante立刻拔枪把它轰下，然後拿起外套走到门口。

「I can already tell, look like this is going to be one hell of party!」
(看来我应该说，这快要变成一个地狱的派对！)

Mission 2 The Blood Link
开场：

一踢开大门，外面的街道早已充斥了恶魔，Dante回头一看，店面早已被弄得一团糟。

「Damn it! You guys totally wrecked my shop. And I haven't even named it yet! 」(可恶！你们完全弄坏我的店子，我还没替它起名啊！)

「You're going to pay for that. 」(我会要你们付钱的。)

随即便把手中大剑抛上，并穿上他的红色战衣。但大概是刚才着了凉而打了一个喷嚏，接着破烂的店子一下子倒塌。

「I hope you all have enough to cover all this! 」
(希望你们足够赔偿给我吧！)

结尾：

激烈的战斗才刚结束，一座巨大的古塔从地面直升起来，更比任何建筑物都高。塔顶上站立着一名身穿蓝色长衫，手执日本武士刀的男子。此人正是Dante的哥哥—Vergil！

「It's been nearly a year since we last met, where does the time go? 」
(距离上次再会好像是一年前吧，时光过得真快。)

在两兄弟对望之际，刚才的死神趁机逃跑了。

「No doubt you've got some fun planned for me. Right Vergil? 」
(不用怀疑你一定有计划要对付我，对吧Vergil？)

Mission 3 The Devil's Tower
开场：

「Arkham. 」Vergil 对他後面的人说。

「Well? Doesn't it excite you? The Temen-Ni-Gru has revived,the Great one who once ruled this earth as the medium between the Human World and the Demon World. 」(嗯？你不是应该很高兴吗？连结着人界与魔界的古塔—Temen-Ni-Gru终於复活了！)

说话的正是在Dante店内出现的光头男子。

「Isn't it a magnificent view? The greatest minds of their time, those who revered Evil, constructed this glorious edifice. Now,after two millenniums of confinement. It can at last fulfill the purpose for which it was attended…」(这情景壮观吗？背叛神而寻求恶魔之力的异教徒，以他们的智慧而建成的这个心血结晶已被我们唤醒了。经过二千年後就又我们去继承他们的遗志让这地大地再一次…)

「That's none of my concern. 」(这不关我事。)Vergil打断Arkham的说话道。

「Did he have it? 」(他有那东西吗？)Vergil问道。

「Of course. He's taking good care of it. After all, it is the only the memento left from your mother you both last. 」
(当然，他还把它珍而重之。因那是你们母亲给你们的最後礼物。)

「But he has no idea of its true power. 」(可惜他不知这东西的真正用途。)

Vergil摸着颈上的项链道。

此时刚被Dante打败的死神逃到Vergil面前，只见Vergil轻描淡写的就把那死神解决了。而这景像，落入了在远处一名骑着电单车的女子眼中。

「I found it! 」(终於给我找到了！) 那女子道。

中段：

Dante走入塔的入口就碰上一只巨形三头犬—Cerberus。

「Leave out, mortal! The likes of you are forbidden in this land. You who are powerless are not Worthy to set foot here! 」(滚开，人类！「mortal指不能永生，终有一死」像你这种普通人在这只有被吃的份儿，无能的人没有资格进去。) Cerberus道。

Dante：「Wow,I've never seen a talking mutt before,you know in a dog show, you'd definitely take the first place. 」
(哗，我从没见过会说话的狗。如果在狗展中，冠军一定是你的。)

「You, a mere human, make a mockery at me?! 」(你这微不足道的人类竟拿我来开玩笑？！) 说罢Cerberus向Dante喷出冻气，却被Dante轻易避过。

「Easy Fido! How about I take you out for a walk? Come on puppy, let's go. 」(冷静点啊，我带你去散步如何？来吧小狗，去散步吧。)Dante 摆出一副挑衅的姿态。

「You'll regret this, you worm! 」(你这虫子会後悔的！)

Dante：「It's show time! Come on! 」(表现时间到了！来吧！)

结尾：

Cerberus：「You are not human, are you? 」(你不是人类！)

Dante：「Who know? I'm not even sure myself. 」(是吗？这连我也不太清楚呢。)

「Regardless, you have proved your strength. I acknowledge your ability. Take my soul and go forth, you have my blessing. 」(好了，你已展示你的实力，我认同你。把我的灵魂带走吧，我会祝福你。)Cerberus说罢便变成一柄三截棍。

「Too easy! 」(太简单了！)Dante把三截棍耍完後道。

Dante准备步入塔内时，骑着电单车的女子突然来到。

「Are you going to the party? What's the hurry? Didn't ya get the invitation? 」(你也是赶来参加派对吗？你有得到邀请吗？)

少女没回答反而拿起火箭炮射向Dante，但炮弹却被Dante玩弄一番。此时少女终於回过头来用一双红蓝色的眼睛瞪
